To Applicants for the Graduate Program for Social ICT Global Creative Leaders (GCL)
Eligibility for application
Applicant must be a doctoral course student who has enrolled in October in the previous year of enrollment or an expected doctoral course student who will enroll in April, at one of the departments of the University of Tokyo listed below:

Remark that, the students who are entering doctoral course in April must apply to the entrance examination to the doctoral course of one of the above departments, pass the entrance examination, and enroll the department. The application deadline depends on the department, and may be much earlier than the deadline of application to GCL course.
Details about the entrance process are provided by each graduate school, and students must check them by themselves. Decisions of admission to doctoral course and acceptance as a GCL course student are independent. (One can study for usual Ph.D. degree even if one is not accepted as GCL course student.)

Eligibility: Applicant must be a Master’s course student who enrolls in April 2019 or has enrolled in September 2018
Number of students: about 60.
Period for submission:
Complete application forms must reach the GCL Office as follows.
From 10:00, Apr. 1 (Mon), 2019 to 15:00, Apr. 8 (Mon), 2019.

FY2018 – D1 Transfer Student as the third year of GCL (3rd Call)
Eligibility: Applicant must be a doctoral course student, having enrolled in April, 2018
Number of positions: a few
Briefing Session: Monday, April 2 (start/16:30) at Ele. Conference Room #3, 3rd Floor, Engineering Bldg. #2, Hongo Campus.
Period for submission: From Monday, April 9, 2018 (10:00) to (by no later than) Monday, April 16, 2018 (12:00/noon) (Japan Standard Time). Submit the documents directly to the GCL office. Postal mail valid with postmark no later than Friday, April 13, 2018.
Oral interview：Interview will take place on Friday, April 20, 2018 (around 13:00-18:00) in principal.
Applicants may be allowed to take interview on another appointed day, if he/she cannot take interview on April 20 because of special reasons.

Period for submission: From Monday, January 29, 2018 (10:00) to (by no later than) Monday, February 5, 2018 (12:00/noon) (Japan Standard Time). Submit the documents directly to the GCL office. Postal mail valid with postmark no later than February 2, 2018.
Oral interview：Interview will take place on Sunday, February 18, 2018 in principal.
Applicants may be allowed to take interview on another appointed day, if he/she cannot take interview on February 18 because of special reasons.

Period for submission: from Monday, July 24, 2017 (10:00) to (by no later than) Thursday, July 27, 2017 (12:00/noon) (Japan Standard Time). Submit the documents directly to the GCL office. Postal mail valid with postmark no later than July 25, 2017.
Oral interview：Interview will take place in the evenings or later on Monday, August 7, 2017 in principal.
Applicants may be allowed to take interview on another appointed day, if he/she cannot take interview on August 7 because of special reasons.

FY2017 – D1 Transfer Student as the third year of GCL (3rd Call)
Eligibility: Applicant must become a doctoral course student, having enrolled in April, 2017. Note that a student cannot belong to more than one leading graduate programs.
Number of students: A small number of students
Briefing Session: Monday, April 4 (start/16:30) at Ele. Conference Room #3, 3rd Floor, Engineering Bldg. #2, Hongo Campus.
Period for submission: The application documents must be submitted to the GCL office (Please see below for the details.) within the period from 10:00, Monday, April 10, 2017 to 12:00, Friday, April 17, 2017. Submission by postal mail is also valid, if it has the postmark date no later than April 14, 2017.
Oral interview：Interview will take place in the afternoon(around 13:00-18:00) on Friday, April 21, 2017 in principal.
Applicants may be allowed to take interview on another appointed day, if he/she cannot take interview on April 21 because of special reasons.

FY2017 – D1 Transfer Student as the third year of GCL (2nd Call)
Eligibility: Applicant must become a doctoral course student, having enrolled in September, 2016, or enrolling in April, 2017
Note that a student cannot belong to more than one leading graduate programs.
Remark that this is the last call for application for students who have enrolled in September, 2016.
Number of students: A small number of students
Briefing Session: Monday, January 16 (start/17:30) at Ele. Conference Room 3, 3rd Floor, Engineering Bldg. #2, Hongo Campus.
Period for submission: The application documents must be submitted to the GCL office (Please see below for the details.) within the period from 10:00, Monday, January 30, 2017 to 12:00, Thursday, February 2, 2017. Submission by postal mail is also valid, if it has the postmark date no later than Tuesday, January 31, 2017.
Oral interview：Interview will take place on the afternoon of Saturday, February 18, 2017 (around 13:00 – 18:00) in principle. Applicants may be allowed to take interview on another appointed day, if he/she cannot take interview on the afternoon of Saturday, February 18, 2017 because of special reasons.

Submission by postal mail is also valid, if it has the postmark date no later than Tuesday, July 26, 2016.
Oral interview：Interview will take place on the afternoon of Friday, August 5, 2016 (around 13:00 – 18:00) in principle. Applicants may be allowed to take interview on another appointed day, if he/she cannot take interview on the afternoon of Friday, August 5, 2016 because of special reasons.
