2015/08/10 Request for submission of “GCL Internship Implementation Plan”, “Reason for Changing the Internship Plan” or “Reason for Postponement of Internship” document
All GCL course students are required to undertake an approximately 6-months internship in abroad and/or in Japan in order to deepen their awareness of problem consciousness.
For D1 transfer students and M2 students who are selected by additional recruitment for FY2015: If the student has failed to submit the GCL Internship Implementation Plan, please refer to #1 below.
For M2, D1, and D2 students (other than above): If the student has already submitted the GCL Internship Implementation Plan, please refer to #2 below.
#1: For D1 transfer students and M2 students who are selected by additional recruitment for FY2015 (In case of failure to submit the GCL Internship Implementation Plan)
Students are recommended to conduct the Internship as quickly as possible.
Please refer to the explanation documents in the following website http://www.gcl.i.u-tokyo.ac.jp/en/internship/ .
Students must discuss about their internship theme thoroughly with their supervisor before submitting the following two documents to the GCL office.
・GCL Internship Implementation Plan
・The specific form for the MEXT Program “Tobitate Ryugaku Japan (For overseas )) ”
GCL course students with work experience, either domestic or abroad, are able to be exempted from taking the GCL internship program, if they wish. In such cases, students are required to submit the application for exemption. After reviewing the application, exemption will be approved based on the results.

#2: For M2, D1, and D2 students (other than above) (In case of the GCL Internship Implementation Plan is already submitted)
If you have not completed the long-term domestic and overseas internships up to 6 months yet, please consult with your supervisor as soon as possible, and please submit the Reason for Changing the Internship Plan or Reason for Postponement of Internship document to GCL office as described below.
*Case 1: Internship will be conducted during Fy2015 (by the end of March 2016), but, there are some changes from the previously submitted plan. → Please submit the Reason for Changing the Internship Plan document.
*Case 2: Internship is difficult to be conducted during Fy2015 (by the end of March 2016) → Please submit the Reason for Postponement of Internship document .
